Alexander Lotsman was born in 1947 in the town of Achinsk, Krasnoyarsk Region. He graduated from Krasnoyarsk Art School. After his service in the Army (1966—1970) he comes to Leningrad and continues his art studies. In 1975 he starts his independent creative life and takes an active part in the life of the city.
Lotsman's works are featured in the album «Petersburg Art of the 20th Century».
His works belong to the collections of

the Ministry of Culture of Estonia
the Valaam Conservation Museum
the Norton Dodge Museum, USA as well as to a number of private collections in Russia and outside.

1990 Participates in the Festival of the Russian Art in the USA (San Diego)
1999 Solo exhibition at the Nekrasov Museum in St Petersburg
2002 Takes part in the exhibition of contemporary painting in Richmond, USA
2003 Took part in the exhibition of Petersburg artists at the Tretyakov Gallery «Avant-garde on the Neva»
2003 Took part in the anniversary exhibition of the Petersburg Union of Artists «Traditions and Contemporaneity» held at the Central Exhibition Hall
